Trailnet released its 2021 St. Louis City and County Crash Report last month which investigates the trends and characteristics of traffic crashes and provides solutions on how to improve road safety for people walking, biking, and using transit. In 2021, 178 people were killed and more than 14,000 people injured in traffic crashes in St. Louis City and County. For the fourth year in a row, pedestrian fatalities increased in St. Louis City and for the first time, traffic fatalities eclipsed 100 in St. Louis County. The report builds off the 2020 Crash Report which focused primarily on the City of St. Louis.
