PARK(ing) Day 2023

Friday, September 15

PARK(ing) Day is a collaborative effort to find alternative uses for metered parking spaces for a day. Parking meters are “rented” by participants and turned into temporary public places for the day.

PARK(ing) Day started in 2005 in San Francisco when Rebar, a group of architects, “rented” a parking space by paying the meter and setting up a small park. It has since become an international event. St. Louis has participated in PARK(ing) Day since 2011.

PARK(ing) Day is Friday, September 15th. The Community Mobility Committee, Trailnet, and the Office of the Treasurer, want you to find a spot, set up a park, and bring the streets of St. Louis to life.

Download the PARK(ing) Day guide below to learn more about creating a plan, and then submit an online application to reserve your spot.

If you have questions, contact Bryce Monser, Community Planning Manager (Trailnet) at bryce@trailnet.com
